‘Baby on Board’
I want to address Shapiro’s and Patricia D. Sullivan’s criticism of the “Child in Car” signs.
I provide the safest conditions possible when driving. I wear a seat belt; I have used a car seat for my son since the day he was born; I drive safely, and I use such a sign. There are many drivers who do not drive safely, insisting on tailgating or passing unsafely.
If that small sign stops even one driver from tailgating me, then it has served its purpose.
As to Shapiro’s inquiry if he should be waving to my baby please tell him, “No thanks, keep your eyes on the road.”
