Egypt’s Bid for U.S. Apology

Am I dreaming?
U.S. military planes overtook an Egyptian plane in non-U.S. airspace, and forced the pilot to change course and land in a third country.
We all, myself included, shouted, “Hooray!”
Understandably, the Egyptian government, which has just negotiated the release by terrorists of a number of our citizens, is angry, and demands an apology. Under what circumstances would the United States tolerate the same kind of treatment of an American plane? An apology seems little enough to ask, now that we have what we want.
Maybe someone ought to explain to our President the difference between a “Rambo” movie and international political reality. I am ashamed of his “Never!”
