Ocadiz, Esparza Pace Rancho Santiago

Sergio Ocadiz and Ruben Esparza finished first and second, respectively, to lead Rancho Santiago College cross-country team to a South Coast Conference double-dual meet victories over Golden West and Saddleback, Friday at Huntington Beach’s Central Park.
The Dons defeated Golden West, 15-49, and Saddleback, 18-40. Saddleback defeated Golden West, 19-43.
Ocadiz finished the four-mile course with a time of 20:03, and Esparza in 20:24. Rancho Santiago (8-0) clinched the conference dual meet championship.
The Rancho Santiago women’s team also defeated Golden West, 25-31, and Saddleback, 23-34. Golden West defeated Saddleback, 23-32.
Saddleback’s Dirdea Vaughn finished the three-mile course in 18:01. Rancho Santiago’s Kelly Miller (18:25) and Soccorro Godoy (18:31) placed second and third.
