Industrial Complexes : Mervyn’s Leases Space in Cucamonga Center
The Mervyn’s department store chain has leased 50,000 square feet in the $9-million Lincoln Distribution Center recently completed on a 22.95-acre site at 8858 Rochester Ave., Rancho Cucamonga.
The project, developed in a joint venture by Lincoln Property Co. and Aetna Life & Casualty Co., was built by Breton Construction Inc., Irvine, and features two one-story buildings of 164,975 and 143,524 square feet, each with office and warehouse space. Coldwell Banker is the leasing agent and the project was designed by architects Caback, Randall, Jasper, Griffiths Associates, Menlo Park.
William M. Simpson & Associates, Newport Beach, was the structural engineer for the tilt-up concrete buildings.
Miramar Projects Slated
January completion is scheduled for 13 multi-use industrial buildings in Miramar Point East and Miramar Point West in the 55-acre Miramar Point Industrial Park in San Diego. The one-story buildings total 262,500 square feet and are developments of KLH Associates, a joint venture of the William Lyon Co., Judd Development Co. and the Koll Co. Miramar Point East has a construction cost of $2.2 million, while Miramar Point West has cost of $2.3 million.
Valencia Project Set
A February completion is scheduled for a $1.3-million, 30,000-square-foot office/commercial building being developed by Daymark Ltd., Valencia, in the Valencia Industrial Center, 25540-25544 W. Avenue Stanford, Valencia. The architect is Joe Jordan, A.I.A., Burbank.
Center Completed
Construction has been completed on the $8-million, two-building Valencia Technology Center, a 120,878-square-foot complex in the Valencia Industrial Center. The project, at the southwest corner of West Avenue Hall and North Avenue Crocker, is a joint venture of two Woodland Hills firms, Saunders Development Co. and G & G Properties. Coldwell Banker is the leasing agent.
Construction Done
Construction has been completed on an $8.4-million, 270,800-square-foot industrial project on the northwest corner of Sentous Street and Arenth Avenue in the City of Industry. The two-building complex was developed by Investment Building Group, Los Angeles, in a joint venture with Copley Real Estate Advisors, a unit of Boston-based New England Mutual Life Insurance Co.
Completion Nearing
Completion is scheduled Friday for a $4.3-million, 128,500-square-foot warehouse/light manufacturing facility being developed by Davidson-Hudson Properties, Long Beach, on 5.1 acres at 7261 E. Slauson Ave., Commerce. The contractor is Oltmans Construction Co., Whittier, and Coldwell Banker is the marketing agent. The architect is Hill-Pinckert Architects, Irvine.
