A Jordanian woman visiting Oceanside was struck by a car and killed while walking across North River Road Saturday night with her grandchild, and a driver was arrested for felony hit and run, Oceanside police and San Diego coroner’s deputies reported. Farha Khadijeh, 62, was crossing in the 4900 block of North River Road just south of Redondo Drive when she was hit by a southbound car about 7:15 p.m. The grandchild was not injured, coroner’s deputies said. The driver fled and Khadijeh was pronounced dead at the scene. Sergio Fragozo, 24, of Oceanside, later reported to police and was booked into Vista County Jail on suspicion of felony hit and run.
