Newhall Investment Properties, a Valencia-based commercial real estate partnership, announced that it has sold the Valencia Golf Course and its clubhouse to Uniden Corp. of America, a unit of Uniden Japan, for about $6 million in cash.
The 18-hole course, situated off the Golden State Freeway, was designed by prominent golf course architect Robert Trent Jones.
Uniden, which makes electronic equipment such as cordless telephones, sponsors an annual golf tournament but does not own any other golf courses. A Newhall spokesman said the sales agreement requires the new owner to continue using the property as a golf course.
