Bootleggers Ball Offers Close Look at Boat Parade
The Bootleggers Ball, a charity dinner-dance that will offer a close-up view of the colorful Dana Point Christmas Boat Parade, will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the new Youth and Group Facilities, 34451 Ensenada Place in Dana Point Harbor.
Advance tickets for the dinner-dance, which is part of the community’s annual Christmas Festival, are $15 each. Tickets will cost $25 at the door.
After the boat parade, awards for “most nautical Christmas theme,” “best-dressed crew,” “best animation” and “most colorful” boat decorations will be given. The best-decorated businesses and homes also will be recognized by the awards committee.
Drawings also will be held for a $500 shopping spree in Dana Point, a complimentary night at the Ritz-Carlton and a year of free monthly flower bouquets donated by Dana Point Florist. Those eligible for the drawings will be the purchasers of $5 Christmas Festival tickets, which will enable ticket-holders to receive discounts from 104 participating merchants.
