KCET AWARDED $250,000 GRANT
For the second time this month, KCET Channel 28 has received a major grant. The Irvine Foundation has awarded $250,000 to the station for its creative venture fund.
The fund finances research and development of local and nationally distributed programs, providing capital to develop a project from its beginnings to the point at which it can be taken to potential underwriters for additional funding.
On Dec. 18, the station received a $750,000 three-year challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities in Washington.
