MELBOURNE, Australia — Thieves cleaned out an automatic teller at a bank here, police said Sunday.
Sometime Friday night, the thieves drove a stolen front-end loader through the window the bank in the Melbourne suburb of Croydon, loaded the half-ton teller machine onto the back of a truck and drove off with it. Police said the teller machine had an undetermined amount of cash in it, but it can hold up to $55,000.
The loader was found nearby, and police are looking for thieves, truck and teller machine.
