Hot Line Suggests Gifts for Mother

The makers of Downy fabric softener want to encourage family members to buy other-than-the-standard gifts for Mother’s Day and have set up a hot line to answer questions about what to buy for mother.

Until May 10, people who call the toll-free Mother’s Day Hot Line, (800) 55-IDEAS, will be inspired by a new gift idea each day. Gift suggestions include gourmet ice cream toppings, a selection of herbal teas, gourmet popcorn, bread baskets, cookbooks and a microwave oven.

Those who call the hot line from now until Saturday will find out how they can include Mom in a national full-page register, the Downy Moms Honor Roll, just before Mother’s Day.
