Tampa Bay Wins CBA Title Again, 110-108

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Kevin Williams scored 37 points and Rod Higgins had 35 Wednesday night to lead the Tampa Bay Thrillers past the La Crosse Catbirds, 110-108, for their second straight Continental Basketball Assn. championship.
The Thrillers won the championship series, 4-1, becoming the first team in CBA history to win back-to-back titles.
Before a crowd of 3,756, Tampa Bay went ahead for good with 42 seconds left at 109-108 when Higgins sank a 16-footer.
