Master’s Uses 26 Hits to Blow Out Caltech

After three losses, freshman pitcher Eric Petersen got his first college win Wednesday, striking out eight batters and allowing six hits as Master’s College pounded out 26 hits en route to a 24-1 non-conference victory at Caltech.
First baseman Andre Richner was 5 for 6, had two runs batted in and scored three runs for Master’s. Teammate Tony Dello was 4 for 6 with three triples, five RBIs and four runs scored. Joe Stadum (2 for 4, three RBIs) hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning and Tim Kane (2 for 6) blasted a two-run home run in the ninth inning.
Master’s is 17-25 overall. Caltech dropped to 4-22.
