2 Arts Groups Will Get Grants

Two Westside arts groups, Beyond Baroque and the Santa Monica Arts Foundation, will receive matching grants through the National/State/County Partnership.
A total of $85,600, to be divided among 19 county arts organizations, has been approved by the county Board of Supervisors. Beyond Baroque will receive $5,000 and the Santa Monica Arts Foundation will receive $4,000.
The partnership, administered by the Los Angeles County Music and Performing Arts Commission, is a challenge grant program.
Funds for the partnership are provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, the California Arts Council and the Board of Supervisors.
Grants are awarded each six months. Guidelines and applications for the next grant period are available through the partnership office, (213) 974-1317. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 5.
