PALM SPRINGS LOSES LEADER
The following item, which was inadvertently abbreviated last Sunday, is being rerun today in its entirety.
Thomas D. Hanlon, executive director of the Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau for 16 years, will assume a similar position in Fort Worth, Tex., July 7.
Hanlon, recognized as a leading authority in his field, resigned to develop a new tourism and convention program for Fort Worth.
Besides serving as the executive director of the Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, Hanlon represented the bureau earlier as director of advertising, publicity and promotion.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Hanlon holds a master’s degree in tourism development and travel administration from The George Washington University.
