Fairchild won an injunction against Data General.

A federal court injunction ordered Data General to end its restriction on the use of its NOVA operating system software to its own computers. The court’s order requires Data General to make the software available on non-discriminatory terms to all qualified applicants. Fairchild Semiconductor and Digidyne Corp. won a suit against Data General on its restrictive sales policy. Data General eventually lost an appeal that took the case to the Supreme Court. Fairchild and Digidyne are seeking damages of $300 million.
