ARTS FUND WILL AWARD $25,000

With an emphasis on arts within the minority, inner-urban, tribal or rural culture, the Brody Arts Fund has fellowships of up to $2,500 to award emerging artist and performers. A fund announcement said that in making the awards emphasis will be placed on the minority, inner-urban, tribal or rural cultures.
Approximately $25,000 will be distributed through the fund, which was established in 1984 by the California Community Foundation in partnership with Expansion Arts Program of the National Endowment of the Arts.
Those interested in applying can send a self-addressed stamped envelope by Sept. 15 to Fellowship Program/Brody Arts Fund, California Community Foundation, 3580 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 1660, Los Angeles, 90010. Applicants must have lived in Los Angeles County for one year.
