The U.S. accused 7 nations of dumping brass.
The Commerce Department ruled provisionally that firms in Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, South Korea, West Germany and Sweden were dumping brass sheet and strip, and ordered temporary duties be imposed on shipments. It said the brass was being sold at as much as 42% under cost.
