San Diego firefighters arrived at Artesian Road in the Black Mountain area Wednesday to find farm workers fighting a brush fire with bulldozers, officials said.
The fire was reported at 11:50 a.m. but when firefighters and two brush rigs arrived at the remote North County area, the workers had contained the blaze, the Fire Department said.
The fire charred 10 acres.
