Backcountry Crash Kills Spring Valley Motorcyclist

A 35-year-old Spring Valley man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle early Sunday, the coroner’s office reported.
James Daniel Pollard was headed west of Pine Valley on County Route 1 about five miles north of Interstate 8 when he went off the road and crashed about 12:05 a.m., deputies said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
