Suspended Local P-9 President Jim Guyette filed suit in federal court seeking to block a ratification vote on a proposed pact to end a yearlong strike at Geo. A. Hormel & Co. in Austin, Minn. Guyette filed an affidavit before U.S. District Court Judge Edward Devitt in St. Paul, asking the United Food and Commercial Workers to set procedures to “ensure a fair and democratic” vote on the proposal.
