A Municipal Court judge ordered a South-Central Los Angeles man to stand trial in the slaying of a woman whose death was investigated by the Southside Serial Killer task force. Judge Edward L. Davenport ordered Charles Mosley, 28, to appear for arraignment before Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz on Oct. 9. He remains in jail without bail. Canosha Griffin, 22, was found stabbed to death in a garden outside Locke High School at 325 E. 111th St. on July 25. The task force investigated the killing but concluded that Griffin was not a victim of the serial killer. According to an affidavit filed in court by Los Angeles police, Mosley allegedly confessed and pleaded with police to believe he was not a suspect in the slayings of 17 women, most of them prostitutes. “I killed that girl at Locke High School, but not the other ones,” Mosley allegedly told police. “It wasn’t suppose (sic) to happen that way. I don’t want to be blamed for all of them.”
