Who Are the Real Heroes and Villains in This Town?

An out-of-town sportswriter once commented that the Dodgers had the most successful dumb manager in baseball and the Angels the least successful smart one. I’m not sure that Mr. Mauch is all that smart in terms of human relationships, but the aging Angels may be about to get the monkey off his back.

As for Mr. Lasorda, his luck is running out, and a lot of us TV lip-readers wish his foul language would too.
