A robber walked into a Tustin bank Wednesday, handed a teller a note demanding money and fled on a bicycle with $2,000, a police spokesman said.
Police Lt. Chuck Crane said the man robbed the Sears Savings Bank in the 18000 block of Irvine Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. He said the robber did not appear to have a weapon. After taking the cash, he headed east on Irvine Boulevard on a 10-speed bicycle, Crane said.
The robber was described as being in his early 20s, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and about 185 pounds. He had short brown hair and an olive complexion, Crane said, and was wearing tan slacks and a red, white and blue sweat shirt.
