Local News in Brief : Man Dies as Car Stalls on Freeway in the Rain

A 39-year-old man was killed Monday night when his car stalled on the San Diego Freeway just north of Mulholland Drive and another car slammed into him as he stood next to the trunk, the California Highway Patrol said.
It was raining when the accident occurred at 11:08 p.m. in the freeway’s southbound lanes, the CHP said. The man’s identity was not released pending notification of relatives.
