“10 Classics in 10 Minutes.” Workman. $4.95. “Call me Ishmael,”intones John Moschitta, and then it’s off to the races. “Mighty Mouth” Moschitta--the fast talker from the Federal Express ads--zips through clever minute-long condensations (written by Andy Mayer and Jim Becker) of 10 of literature’s sacred cows. The best, “Moby Dick” and “Gone With the Wind,” are brilliantly conceived and executed, with side-splitting results. Though the rest--”Romeo and Juliet,” “Oliver Twist” and “The Great Gatsby” among them--don’t match the first two’s biting wit or locomotive rhythm, they still beat the heck out of Cliff Notes.
