Business-Class Perks for the Proletariat

Hotels, according to Haley Powers, a convention sales manager for the Greater Los Angeles Visitor and Convention Bureau, generally are divided into three classes: Luxury, Business (or Corporate) and Budget. Business class, Powers added, means the hotels generally cater to weekday business travelers, but they offer packages for weekend vacationers that are moderately priced by comparison with luxury hotels.

Several hotels in Southern California that fall into these classes offer weekend package deals to their guests. Here are a few examples:

LUXURY The Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills:

The Classic Weekend--$175 per night, based on double occupancy. Includes continental breakfast in room, complimentary champagne, newspaper, valet parking and use of sauna and swimming pool. Children under 14 sharing room with parents stay free.
