DIRTIED HARRY
Regarding Kristine McKenna’s review of Debbie Harry’s new “Rockbird” LP (Fall Album Roundup, Nov. 23), I am desperately searching through my seven Blondie albums for a mere hint of what could be called a “punk rock” song. Considering that I know all the songs backwards and forwards, my findings are nil.
If McKenna had done her homework before she scrawled her cold-hearted review, she would have known that Blondie was not and never will be a punk band.
As for the comparison to the classless, no-talented vocalist McKenna mentioned (Madonna), that girl can’t hold a candle to a woman like Debbie.
