Hunt Ranches Land Will Be Sold at Auction
Sixty-two parcels, ranging from 40 to 640 acres of the 10,000-acre Hunt Ranches near Millville in Northern California, will be put on the auction block Saturday at the Shasta Inn in Redding.
Minimum bids range from $250 to $950 per acre, according to the Piatelli Co., auction firm. Advance parcel maps and brochures are available from the auctioneer at 9300 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills.
The Hunt Ranches at one time were the largest and among the most successful cattle operations in the state. The land is being sold to meet a $2 million demand of the Federal Land Bank.
