A man who died during an East San Diego automobile accident Saturday was identified by the coroner’s office Sunday as Sylvan E. (Tony) Vasconcellos of Del Mar.
But coroners have not determined whether Vasconcellos died of natural causes just before his car swerved into two parked cars on Highland Avenue, a spokesman said.
Witnesses said that Vasconcellos appeared to slump over the steering wheel of his car shortly before the accident.
