Convention Center Fees Hiked: Citing higher rates at other convention centers, the City Council has approved a 20% rate hike for exhibitors at the Anaheim Convention Center. The city currently charges 10 cents a square foot for its exhibition space. The new charge, effective Jan. 1, will be 12 cents. The Long Beach Convention Center charges 15 cents a square foot and the Los Angeles Convention Center 12 cents. The Anaheim Convention Center currently brings in revenue of $1.1 million annually, Sheri Erlewine, city public information officer, said.
