Perhaps during this holiday season each one of us could pause and dedicate a thought to all prisoners held against their will; to all refuseniks, a wish that 1987 will fulfill their hopes; to all Afghanistan freedom fighters, South Africans, Palestinian refugees and Israel, a lasting peace. And, above all, the thought that men and women’s free will can and will succeed despite all odds.
