Political violence claimed the lives of two more black South Africans, including a 7-year-old girl, the government announced in Pretoria. The Bureau of Information said the girl was caught in crossfire when a security force member fought a gun battle with a group of blacks at Sebokeng, south of Johannesburg. It said the group threw a gasoline bomb at the home of the security aide. The 7-year-old was the daughter of a neighbor. The bureau also reported that a black man was burned alive in Soweto, the large black township outside Johannesburg.
