A 21-year-old San Diego man died Friday morning after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a bus at 54th Street and Streamview Drive, the San Diego County coroner’s office reported.
Jimmy Lee Whitney died at 10:50 a.m. during surgery at Mercy Hospital after his motorcycle struck the side of a Laidlaw Transit Lines bus. The accident occurred at 7:15 a.m. after the bus stopped on Streamview, then pulled into the intersection, where Whitney’s motorcycle ran into it.
