Poli Pulls Out of L.A. Marathon
The Los Angeles Marathon lost its prime attraction Monday when Gianni Poli, winner of the New York Marathon last October, withdrew from the race because of a cold that he claims has caused him to lose 10 days of training.
Poli was considered one of the favorites in the men’s division of Sunday’s L.A. Marathon. As of late Monday, there were 12,666 entries for the race.
