Three Americans and an Indian national who were kidnaped in Lebanon last month are now in Syrian custody in Beirut, NBC News reported. Citing Middle Eastern and Western intelligence sources, the network said that Americans Robert Polhill, Jesse Turner and Alann Steen and Mithileshwar Singh, an Indian with resident alien status in the United States, were turned over to a Syrian officer. The report said it was still unclear who the kidnapers were. The four, all professors at Beirut University College, were abducted Jan. 24.
