Officials in Henniker, N. H., were advised to fight a state order that the town pay $17,000 for special education for a dyslexic high school honors student who was graduated with a third-grade reading ability. The school board’s lawyers recommended the appeal after the town was ordered to pay Karen Morse for a second year at a Massachusetts school for the learning disabled. Morse, who was an honors student, student council president and school newspaper editor, was diagnosed as dyslexic during her junior year.
