The Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution proclaiming April to be National Fair Housing Month. The board will present a formal proclamation to the Orange County Fair Housing Council at its regular meeting on April 14.
In celebration of National Fair Housing Month, the council is sponsoring a poster contest for students in first through sixth grades. Students are asked to create and illustrate the theme “Open Neighborhoods Welcome All People.”
The winners of the contest will be announced on Tuesday.
Anyone interested in information about the contest or the month’s celebration is urged to call the council at (714) 835-2568. Persons interested in doing volunteer work for the council, a private nonprofit organization, may call the same telephone number.
