Woody Herman Hospitalized

DETROIT — Bandleader Woody Herman was in stable and improving condition today after being admitted to a hospital here, officials said.
Herman, 73, was in the intensive care unit at Sinai Hospital, hospital spokeswoman Suzanne Timma said. He was admitted March 26. Timma would not say why Herman was hospitalized.
