Master’s Falls Behind by 6, Then Rallies for 9-6 Win

The Master’s College rallied from a 6-0 fifth-inning deficit to defeat Cal State San Bernardino, 9-6, in a nonconference game at Master’s.
Master’s (19-17) scored three runs on four consecutive hits with two out in the bottom of the fifth, then parlayed four hits and two walks into four runs in the seventh. Freshman Jeff Lane had the game-winning hit in the seventh, singling home Tim Kane for a 7-6 Master’s lead.
David Mayr relieved starter and winner Kevin Taylor (6-2) with two out in the eighth and held San Bernardino scoreless and hitless.
