Bomed Medical Manufacturing Ltd. said it had a net loss $202,000 during the first quarter of 1987, compared with a loss of $207,000 a year earlier. The Irvine-based company said that revenues during the quarter doubled to $346,010 from $173,170 a year earlier.
Company officials attributed the sales increase primarily to expansion of Bomed’s sales force. However, that expansion caused an increase in selling expenses, which in turn, caused the year-to-year loss to increase slightly, Bomed said.
