A 59-year-old Stanton man suffering from symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease was reported missing a day after he left home in a car without saying where he was going, police said Wednesday.
Bonnie Mitchell said it was the first time her husband, Ed Mitchell, had left home alone since he began suffering disorientation and loss of memory.
Sgt. Sylvester Clark said Mitchell was reported missing about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mitchell’s wife said he left in the couple’s 1976 Ford Granada, California license plate 181-PKH.
He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. He was wearing an orange-striped shirt and tan pants.
