Kristofferson’s Sorry About Discarded Plaque

ALBANY, N.Y. — Kris Kristofferson apologized today to a Vietnam veterans group angered because a plaque given to him at a benefit concert last week was found in the trash after the show.
“We screwed up. We left it behind,” the singer said in an airport news conference. He said he and members of his family have served in the military and anyone who thought he’d left the plaque behind on purpose didn’t know him.
