Tribute to Perloff
Re-reading Sam Hall Kaplan’s column (May 24) on Harvey Perloff encouraged me to say what an inspiration his memory has been to the Cultural Affairs Commission of the City of Los Angeles.
The commission is charged with reviewing the design of all structures belonging to or under the control of the City of Los Angeles, and we look for truly courageous public architecture in this extraordinary city of ours. We want buildings of discipline and distinction, utilizing the talent of the many creative architects practicing today.
