10 Class B Yachts Finish Transpacific

Ten of the 14 boats in Class B had finished the 2,225-mile Los Angeles-to-Honolulu Transpacific yacht race race by 7 p.m. PDT Sunday, bringing the total number of finishers to 21 out of the 54-boat fleet. Class B boats that had finished were Allure, Mongoose, Hana Ho, Upbeat, Chasch Mer, Elusive, Marishiten, Racy II, Tigris and Strider.
Still at sea, but with a chance to capture overall fleet corrected-time honors was Jazz, a Class D boat skippered by Roderic Park, Richmond Yacht Club.
