Iran Will Kill GIs, Survivors Will Praise Khomeini--Official
NICOSIA, Cyprus — Iran will kill columns of U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf and the survivors will swear allegiance to the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the speaker of Iran’s Parliament was quoted as saying today.
Speaker Hashemi Rafsanjani said the United States is planning to intervene in the gulf because President Saddam Hussein of Iraq could not defeat Iran himself, Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
Rafsanjani said Americans who weren’t killed would be led to prisoner-of-war camps in Iran, each carrying a portrait of Khomeini and shouting slogans of allegiance to the leader of Iran’s fundamentalist Muslim regime.
IRNA quoted him as saying this would be the end of American adventurism in the gulf.
