NBC Wins Gorbachev Interview

NEW YORK — Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev has agreed to an unrehearsed one-hour interview with NBC News one week before his summit with President Reagan in Washington, the network said today. NBC “Nightly News” anchor Tom Brokaw is scheduled to fly to Moscow and conduct the interview with Gorbachev on Sunday and the taped interview is planned for broadcast Nov. 30.
The three major American television networks have been scrambling to arrange interviews with Gorbvachev. CBS announced last week that its request had been denied.
