New Lithuania Party Chief

MOSCOW — A career Communist Party official, Ringaudas-Bronislovas Songayla, was named Tuesday as the new party leader in the Soviet Baltic republic of Lithuania, the official Tass news agency said. Songayla, 58, succeeds Pyatras Grishkyavichus, who died in office on Nov. 14.
