Hot and cold El Camino College (13-2-2) will play host to Skyline of San Bruno (17-1) tonight at 7:45 in the semifinal round of the California Community College men’s soccer championships.
In the other semifinal, also at El Camino, defending champion Foothill (16-3) of Los Altos Hills will take on San Diego Mesa (9-3-4) at 6.
Skyline is the Coast Conference champion. El Camino, which finished second in the South Coast Conference, advanced by beating Rancho Santiago of Santa Ana, 5-0.
“If we play like we did last Saturday we’ll be a bit of trouble for every team,” said El Camino Coach Norm Jackson. “But we’ve been up and down all year. I’m not sure how we’ll play against Skyline.”
The Warriors start eight freshmen.
The winners will meet Saturday at 1 p.m. at El Camino to decide the state title.
