Long Beach Women Defeat UNC Charlotte, 94-56
Penny Toler scored 31 points to lead the Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team to a 94-56 victory over UNC Charlotte Sunday in the third-place game of the Northern Illinois tournament at Dekalb, Ill.
In the championship game, Michelle Edwards scored 28 points as Iowa defeated Northern Illinois, 81-73. Jolynn Scheider had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawkeyes.
