Northridge Wins West Volleyball Regional
Cal State Northridge earned its eighth consecutive berth in the Final Four by defeating Cal State Sacramento, 15-12, 15-10, 15-8, in the championship game of the NCAA Division II West regional women’s volleyball playoffs Sunday at Northridge.
The Lady Matadors (33-7), ranked No. 1 in the nation, will vie for their second Division II title in five years beginning Friday in Omaha, Neb. CSUN has been runner-up in three consecutive NCAA title matches.
Ferris State, Nebraska-Omaha and Central Missouri State also reached the Final Four by winning regional tournaments Sunday.
